About Williams-Daws-Rooke-Cornwall-Devon
Please sign in to see more. Peter Daws begins this tree. His daughters married men from the Williams and Rooke families. The Daws were from Bere Ferrers as were the Rookes. The Williams family was from Cornwall, Crowan mostly but migrated to other locations in Cornwall.
I started researching the Williams from Philadelphia and followed their ancestors to Calumet Michigan, White Pines Nevada, Shamokin, Centralia, and Shenadoah Pennsylvania. I followed them back to Cornwall, England and from there to Devon where I discovered the Daws and Rookes ancestors.
A dear cousin in Cornwall showed me the blending of Rookes and Murtons and their travels to Butte Montana, Alberta Canada and also Shamokin, Mount Carmel and other places where the Williams family lived.
They were mostly copper miners and they married the daughters of miners in Cornwall, Devon, Michigan, White Pines Nevada, Shamokin, Centralia and Mt Carmel in Pennsylvania.
There are numerous branches within this tree as cousins are always welcome.
